OSGi Vehicle Environment

This training enables you to take full advantage of OSGi vehicle environments. Such solutions facilitate and accelerate the development of products in the so-called "telematics" segment. "Telematics" covers the development of applications for different platforms (on-board units, navigation systems, vehicle gateways, nomadic devices) and different contexts (fleet management, safety improvements, multimedia services, remote diagnostics, etc.)

Agenda

The training can be customized in order to address your personal focus and for example cover the following topics in more depth:

 

  • Uniform OSGi API for accessing a wide range vehicle networks/bus systems
  • Building telematics applications with rich GUI interface
  • Utilizing eSWT, AWT, Embedded Swing or mGUI graphical libraries and eRCP or custom application models
  • Adding support for playing of audio video content
  • Using OSGi MEG 4.1 defined extensions, including an OMA DM tree semantics based device management model and an application admin abstraction facilitating the integration of different application models
  • Designing solutions for remote device management (OMA DM) and content downloading (OMA DL and OTA download)
  • Designing secure solutions
  • Integration with WAVE (WLAN 802.11p) networks / VPNs
